Perinatal Mental Health Support
Pregnancy news can leave moms feeling overwhelmed with swirling thoughts like, can I really do this? As our bodies evolve to prepare and change for the birth of a child, so do our emotional states.
You are not alone, and there is relief.
Nicole, a mother of twins and a trauma informed therapist, will lead the group with prompts using art making, mindfulness & EMDR. You will come away with new skills to manage motherhood and have a built in community of mothers who get what you are going through. Showing up for yourself is enough!
Are you a mother who has given birth in the last few years and is experiencing anxious feelings or
thoughts, rage, and OCD? Mother’s are often undiagnosed and rarely treated for postpartum depression
and anxiety. Fear that you are not a loving mother or that you may be reported for having scary
intrusive thoughts are misconceptions leaving mothers to feel even more isolated and alone during a
time they need support the most. Choosing to begin therapy can improve the trajectory of your health
and ultimately the bond with your baby & family.
Becoming a mother can feel incredibly isolating, especially as unmet needs persist. If you are struggling
with a birth trauma, NICU experience, or PPD/PPA, reach out to discuss how therapy may help you regain parts of yourself that have become lost amongst the chaos of motherhood. Nicole, a mother of toddler twins and a trauma informed therapist, will lead the group with prompts using art making, mindfulness & EMDR. You will come away with new skills to manage motherhood and a built in community of mothers who get what you are going through.
